Clerk to Governors Opportunity

Collingtree CoE Primary School is looking for a Clerk to the Governors to:

  • Provide effective administrative support to the governing body and its committees.
  • Ensure the governing body is properly constituted
  • Manage information effectively in accordance with legal requirements

We are keen to recruit someone who is professionally trained in clerking for schools and who is willing to maintain their professional development.

The governing board meets four times annually as a Full Governing Body, in addition there are two committees resulting in twelve meetings a year.  There will be occasions when additional meetings require the clerk in attendance.

You will be paid £130 per meeting which includes preparation time, time for research and post meeting actions.

Please contact the school for an application pack or to discuss the position further:

Foundation Governor Opportunity

The Governing Board of the school would like to recruit a foundation governor to join them.

Governors set the strategic direction of the school; hold the executive leader to account for the school’s performance and oversee school finances, ensuring its money is well spent.  It is interesting and varied work that brings great rewards.   The board meets four times a year and there will also be some committee meetings and monitoring visits to attend.

Ideally you might have experience in HR, finance, Marketing or Education but this is not necessary to flourish in the role.  If you can offer commitment, time and a willingness to train then we’d love to hear from you.

If you would like to find out more or express an interest please contact the Chair of Governors, Cei Davies Linn, via the School Office.

We look forward to hearing from you.
