This afternoon, at Collingtree Church of England Primary School, the Collingtree Christian Crew held a cupcake sale to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.  Cupcake Day aimed to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease whilst generating donations to help the fight against it.  Mrs Chambers supported them in their attempts to help the wider community.

Mrs Chambers said: “I am very proud of the children who independently decided to organise a charity event for the Alzheimer’s Society. By chance, it just happened to coincide with the Cupcake Day." The children made cakes themselves to sell and also asked for cake donations from parents.  They then set up a stall and sold them at home time. Here are some photos from our sale.

On Wednesday 23rd May, Mr Brown took a team of Year 3 & 4 pupils to a Quick-Sticks hockey tournament at Moulton College. Even though they’d not played very much hockey, they performed superbly, winning lots of matches and scoring a hat-load of goals!  They managed to finish 7th overall and we’re super proud of the players - we're excitedly waiting for the next tournament and are hoping for even better success!
