Year 5 are learning about Ice Explorers. They have already looked at Shackleton and his various journeys to the South Pole, they are now thinking about their own expeditions to the South Pole. As well as having a wonderful learning experience at the ice rink! Pop in and see the lovely corridor that has been decorated like the South Pole with wonderful lights and a wintery atmosphere .

We have uploaded a Maths, English, Science and Art/DT knowledge organiser so that you know what your child will need to know at the end of each unit. It also includes some vocabulary that you can work through with your child and the definitions. In the maths, we have tried to share some of the methods that we use in school so that you can use these to support at home. All this will help the children embed the knowledge they need and will help them retain this. Pop in if you have any questions.
