Welcome to an exciting year in Class 3 also known as the Field Maples class. Miss Bruley is the teacher with Mrs Carp as the teaching assistant.

In Class 3 we like to challenge ourselves and always try our best so we will succeed. We work together as a team to ensure that we are achieving the best that we can.

This term Class 3 are studying World War II with our topic title being ‘For your tomorrow, we gave our today’. This will involve the children learning about the different aspects of the war and therefore creating a non-chronological report to share this information. The children will then be taught through a creative curriculum linking the subject areas together so that the children become immersed in their topic. Lessons will be engaging and active allowing children to enjoy their learning.

In English we will be recapping our basic writing skills as well as concentrating on paragraphs and subheadings. In Maths we will be learning about place value (looking at 3 digit numbers), written addition and subtraction and finally concentrating on our 3, 4 and 8 times tables. Any help you could give your children with their times tables would be great.

We aspire to keep our children safe, at school and online...
